excerpt from ABC’s to End Emotional Eating

Life doesn’t stop being challenging when the decision is made to lose weight the right way. The decision to no longer use food as an emotional buffer will not stop things from happening. Many days you may even question your decision to forego past diet and exercise patterns for quick weight loss. The feelings might be too intense and overwhelming. Refuse to allow yourself to return to emotionally driven binges or begin an eating and workout regimen you can’t sustain to lose the weight fast. Now when something happens that would have driven you straight to the closest drive thru or checkout counter make the conscious decision to cry out to God and draw strength from his word.

This is my confession:

God has not left me or forsaken me. Even when life hurts I don’t have to turn to food to make me believe I feel better because God wants me to release the weight of my problems to him. He will not allow me to fail in becoming who He created me to be in any area of my life including my eating and emotional habits. No matter what happens I will learn how to stop abusing food and develop healthy eating and exercise habits. He will not allow me to fail, so I cannot be STOPPED!
