INSTAGRAM AUTOPOSTING IS FINALLY HERE! For Some of US....
What Does Instagram AutoPosting Mean for Organic Reach
What does this mean for Instagram? What will become of organic reach using hashtags? Well, it means the same thing it meant when Facebook purchased the platform. Organic reach will continue to slow down until it is almost eliminated. The Influencer industry will shrink considerably or die depending on how much Influencers are willing to pay of their fee to boost post.
Most savvy companies aren't going to continue with the status quo. Why? Because reaching 100 of your 10000 followers won't be worth $15000 once the organic reach matches that of Facebook pages. While still more affordable than traditional media advertising, social media advertising will become less accessible by small business owners.
I hope influencers become savvy enough to begin paying for boosting the ads so their audience does see the paid placements and letting the chips fall where they may so to speak. The truth is no one really knows, because while the Millennial generation is growing up or all grown up, they're also very picky with how they're sold to... the social media adventure continues... Saddle up. Gonna be an interesting ride.
The good news is that organic growth will still be possible with consistent, valuable content, and in dark social. See you in the mobile shadows.
But My Instagram Profile is Set to Personal... So My Reach is Higher
If you're profile is still under a personal account you aren't going to be able to take advantage of the new autoposting feature being extended to the Golden aggregates. You can bypass the insights given by using non Instagram Partner to receive analytics but you'll have to continue pulling out your phone when you need to post. So there're good news and there's not so good news. The powers that be at Facebook have given in to the demands of businesses who wanted autoposting as an option! HOORAY!
Handheld devices are no longer required to post to Instagram for your business. The bad news is once you begin using INSTAGRAM as a business, you'll need to pay to play for true visibility. So major corporations and larger companies wanting full autonomy will rejoice! Solopreneurs, and smaller operations shouldn't throw away those old phones running on wi-fi just yet. We'll have global access in a year or two maybe. Unless Facebook has truly gone corporate and is ready to squeeze the scrappy bootstrappin digital entrepreneurs out.
