I have several NOLO books in my "library" for small business resources so was interested in reviewing this book to see how they would do at creating a book for a new readership (families versus businesses.) This book does not replace the need for legal representation in every instance but does give the reader some basic and advanced information on legal matters that may be available online but is not always easy to locate when the need arises. From prenups to writing a basic will and every instance in between a family would need legal answers or how to find the answer are found in this book. In addition to state by state break down in some instances for the more detailed information like breaking down child support differences from state to state. For any family that believes in having important tools and access to information. As a reader of previous NOLO books I found this book up to par and would recommend it to the parent or new couple who wants to be informed about the basics a "layperson" needs to answer their families' questions.
4 out of 5 stars.
