40 Days of #Worship & #Praise Day Fifteen #truth

I've never been a fan of lying even when the lie will supposedly spare someone's feeling. I've always said I'd rather be cut by the pain of truth once and heal and grow then be cut twice by the lie first and then the truth later. God is a healer. If the word is a two edge sword when it cuts there pain occurs. From pain comes growth.

MARK 4:24 Amplified Bible
24And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you--and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.

  1. I whole-heartedly agree with you. There is no such thing as degrees when it comes to a lie. A lie is a lie is a lie. A "white lie" is as bad as a "whopper". If one can lie "a little", they can just as easily lie about anything. When you think about the commandments, each one can be linked to dishonesty in some way. I know many people who loosely call themselves "Christians" who speak fluent dishonesty without a second thought. This is one of the reasons that kept me out of the church for so many years. Even now it's hard for me to sit back silently & remember it is not for me to judge because God will take care of that when the time comes.
